St. Mary's Senior secondary School, Banda, UP is a minority status obtained co-educational English medium AISSE and AISSCE School, Established in 1978, owned, managed and run by the Roman Catholic Diocese of Jhansi, EDUCATION SOCIETY with the object of imparting value-based education to catholic students as well as students of all communities irrespective of caste, creed or religion. My Dear Parents, well wishers, friends and My dear most loving pupil, "Tamso ma jyotirgamaya", "Lead me to light" are two statements in Sanskrit and in English meaning the same. The very cultural fabric of our nation had given such noble thoughts of leading oneself from darkness to light by surrendering oneself at the feet of a Guru (Teacher). The modern educational system is based on this noble thought; handed over to us by Teachers and Scholars from all over the world. Lord Gautam Budhha is one of the examples of achieving this enlightenment which enabled him to become a great teacher who had ultimate control of himself. We are privileged to walk by the paths trodden by such great Gurus and Scholars down through the ages.
