DAV Centenary Public School is a Co-Educational English Medium Senior Secondary School situated in L- Block Shastri Nagar, Meerut. This school was established in December, 1986 & got affiliated with CBSE in 1994 is progressing by leaps and bounds with strength of nearly 2100 students and about 117 working staff. With its extremely innovative curriculum development the school emphasize on quality education with perfection and commitment from Nursery to class XII. The primary aim of the institution is to impart quality education and develop in its students an integrated personality, broad mindedness and self-confidence so as to enable them to face the challenges of this progressive and modern world. Besides formal academic education, the institution aims at laying special emphasis on moral, physical, aesthetic, emotional, spiritual and cultural development of the child and creates in him an awareness of our environment, social consciousness and secularism. Swami Dayanand Saraswati, the founder of Arya Samaj and one of the greatest path finder’s of Modern India, led a crusade against superstitions and pernicious practices that plagued the inhabitants of this ancient land. He gave a new bearing and rationale through the teachings of Arya Samaj. Much that had crept in out of ignorance was gradually weeded out. To accomplish the most cherished goal of the Swami, Dayanand Anglo Vedic Trust and Management Society was established in 1885. The First DAV institution both for school stage and higher learning was established at Lahore in 1886. Since then, the DAV movement has never looked back and runs nearly 770 institutions today in India and abroad. Under the inspiring guidance of our honourable president Shri Punam Suri ji DAV organization has today a nation wide network of nearly 770 educational institutions. Shri Punam Suri ji is a great visionary who believes that education is the only gateway to human development shaping the mind to adventure into the freedom of future. Tossing in the global waves, challenges for the youth are manifold and pressures on young minds are nerve-wrecking. But by providing a holistic education in pleasant & congenial environment, DAV prepares them for these challenges of life in a global society.

Message from Principal

As said by the legendary naturalist, Charles Darwin “Survival of the fittest”. There can be no other toughest mother than the Mother Nature for she herself eliminates the unfit individuals. Indeed, with the advent of global catastrophe in the name of ‘Covid-19’ humanity underwent an absolute transition from freedom to penitentiary and, then back to adapting the ‘New-Normal’. The pandemic made all to go pensive and internalize the veritable reality that the omnipotence of nature and destiny is the pivot that controls us all despite our innumerable conquests and progresses. Some acquiesced; some radically accepted but all agreed to the self-evident reality that hope, a concerted desire to evolve with perspicacity, embracing change with equanimity and, fortitude to stand tall amidst sheer persecution could be our only accomplices in the wake of wining over the hegemony of pandemic, and come out of it unscathed. DAV’s truest endeavour in bearing the comeuppance of Covid-19 has been to disseminate seamlessly meticulous knowledge through ‘education that empowers’.Elimination of interminably challenging factors, eradication of motley activities in learning, ensuring spiritual, emotional, physical and intellectual well being through plethora of scholastic and co-scholastic activities have been our truest concerns during the pandemic times. Factors and theories like evolution, cognitive inertia and our succinct educational approach defenestrated the stifling challenges posed by corona virus. In the end, I on behalf of the DAV fraternity promise to metamorphose our progeny into self-reliant, resilient and empathetic individuals marked by rambunctious desire to progress ahead with humanity, humility and solidarity.
