CHILDREN’S ACADEMY

Children's Academy Society was established in 1957, by a dedicated philanthropist and an eminent educationist late Sh.W.C.Kashyap. The society established a chain of schools in Dehra Dun and Haridwar under his leadership. Children's Academy, Tagore Villa was established and affiliated to U.P. Board in 1958. By the untiring efforts of Mr. Prem Kashyap the school was recognized as a special type English Medium School in 1971. The school got affiliated with Central Board of Secondary Education (C.B.S.E.), New Delhi as a Senior Secondary School in 1980. Under the dynamic leadership of the then principal, Mr. Prem Kashyap, National Awardee, Member Governing Body Central Board of Secondary Education, New Dehli till 2021 the school showed remarkable all-round improvement. The results of school are excellent and the students are excelling in co-curricular and extra curricular activities. The school is doing yeo-man's service to the society through various social activities. In the year 1996 the reins of the school were handle over to the dedicated Principal Mrs. Kiran Kashyap. The school earned a land mark of excellence in the field of education by showing outstanding board result which brought the institution in the lime light and become popular amongst masses. The Children's Academy organizes various in-services training programmes for the training and benefit of the teaching staff. Such programmes enable them to be aware of the new teaching technology and methodology, which has brought remarkable improment in the efficiency of the staff. The school has the distinction of organizing various seminars and workshops for the benefit of other schools of the city. The aim of the school is to impart sound & intellectual education to young boys & girls developing in them a spirit of leadership, a sence of unity of mankind by uprooting all social, religious & communal prejudices & to prepare them as better citizens to shoulder the responsibilities of future. The school has on his its annual calender many games such as Football, Basketball, Volleyball, Tabale Tannis, Badminton, Carrom & track & field Sports. It has dramatic & cultural events, music & singing, nature & garden clubs & many more. A large member of co-curricular activities are organized in the school campus such as Sc & Social Sc quiz/debates, eloction, Geeta Shlok & speech competition. The school focuses and endeavours to provide all that is needed to shape a student into a fine & self reliant human being. Scholarships are awarded to the toppers of Xth & XIIth Std. Besides that deserving and needy students are encouraged by generous concessions in fee. The institution is proud of rendering remarkable service to the Nation through its alumni in the field of Defence, I.A.S.,Engineering, Medical and Chartered Accountancy. This institution offers a good infrastructure with dedicated staff, who is always eager to put in tremendous efforts in inculcating the best values in the children. The various streams of studies offered are Science, Commerce, Humanities and Vocational Home Science.
