All You Need To Know About K. K. University

The K. K. University (KKU), established under the Bihar Private Universities Act 2013 and passed by the Cabinet of Government of Bihar in its meeting held on May 16, 2917 has been notified vide 15/M 1-38/2014-1147 dt. June 8, 2017.
The Samajik Kalyan Sanstha as its sponsor aims at providing quality education in the fields of sciences, humanities & social sciences, paramedical, engineering, commerce and management, pharmacy, etc by establishing appropriate infrastructure suitable to the spread of higher education (HE), vocational education & training (VET), and industry specific employment oriented programmes for the development of trained manpower at various levels enabling overall growth of Bihar ,and also, help India establish global linkages as supplier of trained human resources across the world.

Central Computing Facility – The University has a Computer Centre as a central computing facility (CCF) for the students, research scholars and the teachers of v the University. The Centre has necessary infrastructure like sufficient number of Computer Hardware and Software, air-conditioned space and stabilized uninterrupted back-up power supply as well as v trained technical manpower. The CCF houses an extensive Laboratory setup v which caters to the academic requirements. The CCF provides desired support like: i. Internet / LAN ii. Project Work iii. R & D iv. On-line Activities v. PPT Presentations vi. Seminar / Workshop vii. EDP/ FDP / ToT

Counselling and placement cell – The Placement Cell of the University is headed v by a senior teacher. The University is committed to provide genuine v placement opportunities to its pass-out. The University proposes to sign a number of MoUs with the reputed companies eager to arrange industry internship for students and visit University for Campus placement.

Hostel – Separate hostel facility for boys and girls are v available on the campus. The warden takes personal care of each and every student; and very good quality of food is served.

Admission procedure – An applicant for admission to a programme must apply in the prescribed Application Form (copy appended with the Prospectus) following the Advertisement in the newspapers to the Admission Counsellor of the v University within the deadline. The application for admission to the programme will be verified by the Admission Counsellor followed by the authentication of the concerned School Principal, and Dean (UG/ v PG) The selection for admission will be done in order of merit and, if necessary, based on the success in the Admission / Entrance Test; and subject to verification of original transcripts / v certificates. There are certain programmes in which admission eligibility will depend on the pass percentage marks of the qualifying v Examination / Test. For admission in any programme, the candidate must have to submit the Transfer v Certificate / Migration. M.Phil. & Ph.D. programmes are also available. V The University follows the 10-point Grading
Examination bylaws – The University follows the 10-point Grading v System of evaluation from 2017-18 session. The University intends to adopt semester/ annual system allowing the continuous monitoring and evaluation of performance of the students which includes two internal midterm and University level end semester v examinations. For appearing at the end semester (University) Examinations, a student has to qualify the internal examinations with the class attendance ensured as per the School v regulation. The weightage given to the University internal and end semester examinations is 30% and 70 v % respectively. Library – The University has Central Library consisting of about ten thousand books and journals/ v periodicals from different fields. The library has sufficient study space with Delineated internet facilities. The library remains open during the office hours. E-Library, NPTEL and Video Library are available
